eTIMS Item Codes
KRA wants to know things about every item that the ERPJS item card does not hold: the KRA classification code, the item type, the packaging and unit codes, the country of origin. Here these codes are set for an individual item — when it differs from its group.
Where to find it: Modules → eTIMS → Registers → eTIMS Item Codes
A worked example
Item A1 (sugar) is in a group whose country is KE, but this sugar was imported from Brazil:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Item | A1 |
| KRA item classification code | empty — as for the group |
| eTIMS item type | empty — as for the group |
| KRA packaging unit | empty |
| KRA quantity unit | empty |
| Country of origin (ISO code) | BR |
Fill in only what differs: an empty field is taken along the chain item → group → account. Before the account's defaults, the packaging and unit codes come from the account's unit mapping, and the country from the item card's «Country of Origin» field if it holds a two-letter ISO code.
Item type: 1 — raw material, 2 — finished product, 3 — service. If it is empty everywhere, it is taken from the item card: a service gets 3, everything else 2.
What is checked on saving
- The item is required and must exist; one record per item.
- The KRA classification code is digits only, 4 to 12 of them.
- The packaging and unit codes are 1 to 5 Latin letters or digits.
- The country is a two-letter ISO code (
KE,CN, …).
An item that has a record here cannot be deleted: a new item with the same code would take someone else's KRA codes.
The register can be loaded from XLSX — handy when the KRA codes arrive as a spreadsheet. «Update registers» checks the rows the same way as saving in the window. «Create new registers» bypasses the save checks: the system then checks neither that the item exists nor that the codes have the right form, and does not turn the codes (except the item code) into capitals (at sending they still go to the intermediary in capitals) — check the spreadsheet before loading it.
Typical situations
The document was not sent: «eTIMS item codes are missing — A1: classification code, packaging unit…». Neither the item, nor the group, nor the account has the codes named. Fill them in wherever is most convenient and click «Send again» in the eTIMS Receipts record.
