List window settings
Here you set how a register's list looks for a specific user: the window size, which columns, in what order and how wide, and whether to show the New and Duplicate buttons. One record is one register for one user; other users see the list as before.
Where to find it: Modules → System → Registers → List window settings
How to set up a list
- Press New. User is filled with your login — change it if you are setting up the list for someone else.
- In the Register field pick the register from the list. Next to it, Default value shows the usual size of its window.
- Press Default fields — the table fills with the columns the list shows now, and the width and height with the usual size.
- Remove the rows you do not need, add the fields you need, change the order and width. Save.
- Open the register's list again — it shows your columns.
Fields
- Register and User — required: whose list and which one is being set up.
- Width (px), Height (px) — the size of the list window, from 200 to the screen size. Empty means the usual size.
- Disabled 'New', Disabled 'Duplicate' — the buttons are not shown in the list window.
- The Fields tab — the list's columns, top to bottom = left to right. Field is picked from the register's fields; Field name is the column header; Width is its width; Checkbox shows a "filled in" tick instead of the value.
Typical situations
Columns disappeared from the list. When the Fields table is not empty, the list shows only the columns listed in it. Add the field you need as a row, or press Default fields and remove the extra ones again.
Column headers are not translated. Field name is shown exactly as written: Default fields writes the names in the language you were working in at that moment. For a user who works in another language, enter the names in their language.
The New button was hidden, but records are still created. The ticks hide the buttons only in the list window; in an open card New and Duplicate remain. Only role rights can forbid creating records.
The setting has no effect. Check that User is exactly the login the person signs in with, and that there is no second record for the same register and user: only one of them applies, and which one is not defined.
"Invalid register name". The register was typed by hand with a mistake — pick it from the list.
