Standard Text
The wording that repeats across the e-mails sent with documents: payment terms, warranty, a sign-off. Rather than typing it each time, you store it once and pull it in by code.

A worked example
Record WARRANTY: "Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of handover."
The card holds four things: the code it is referenced by, a comment — the name shown next to the code in the selection list, the text itself, and the "HTML" flag for when an e-mail needs markup rather than a plain sentence. The code, comment and text are required, and the code must be unique.
The demo company keeps two: warranty and payment terms.
Where they are pulled in
In mail texts: the "Text at start" and "Text at end" fields hold codes, not sentences. One paragraph then lives in one place and changes in one place.
There is nowhere else: document print forms do not pull standard texts in.
Typical situations
The wording changed. Fix it here and it updates everywhere it is referenced by code.
Wording is needed in several languages. Create separate records with different codes: the register stores text, not translations.
The mail text will not save: "Text at start is not found". The field holds a sentence, or a code missing from the register, rather than the code of a standard text: the system looks the record up by code. Pick the code from the list.
The text cannot be deleted: "A record of «Standard Text» is used in: Mail Text!" A mail text holds its code — at the start or at the end. Without the record the template would no longer save, and the e-mail would go out without that paragraph. Remove the code from the template first.
The code does not change: "Can't change code !" The code of a saved text is immutable for the same reason: mail templates find the text by its code, and after a rename the e-mail would go out without that paragraph. Need a different code — create a new text, pick it in the template, and delete the old one once nothing refers to it.
