Telegram

Cards of the people who have written to the company's Telegram bot: one card — one Telegram user. A card appears by itself with the first message, and its chat holds the whole conversation with that person. How to connect the bot — see Telegram Settings.

Where to find it: Modules → System → Registers → Telegram

Field descriptions

  • Telegram ID — the user's number in Telegram; filled in automatically.
  • First Name, Last Name, Login in telegram — as the person filled them in their own Telegram (any of them may be empty).
  • Reg date — the date of the first message to the bot.
  • Comment — a free-form note.
  • Employee — an employee code from the Employees register. Needed for the person to receive Telegram reminders about birthdays and the timesheet.
  • User — a system user login. Notifications about tasks where this user is the executor (and the buttons to approve them) come to it; the bot's /list_tasks, /find_task and /ts commands act on this user's behalf.
  • Contacts (tab) — contacts you have linked to this person by hand: Contact and Comment.

Working with a card

Replying to the person. Open the card and write in its chat — the message goes to Telegram from the bot. Attachments (a photo, a document) are sent too.

Linking an employee. The employee writes anything to the bot once → their card appears in the register → fill in "User" (for task notifications and commands) and "Employee" (for birthday and timesheet reminders).

Common situations

There is no card for the person. They have not written to the bot yet, or the bot is not running — see Telegram Settings.

Task notifications do not arrive. The card has no "User", or a login other than the task executor's — notifications are matched by exactly that field. "Employee" does not affect task notifications.

The bot answers a command with "❗ Select user for your telegram record in ERPJS!". The card has no "User".

Too many cards have piled up. The Clear telegram maintenance removes only the unused ones: no user, no employee, no linked contacts and not a single message in the chat. Cards with a conversation stay.
