Guides
This section is for anyone doing something for the first time: setting up a database, configuring permissions, connecting delivery or a till. The articles here walk through the steps and link to the detailed descriptions of each window, so there is nothing to look up separately.
The first month
An end-to-end guide for a new database: from an empty form to a closed month.
- Part 1: getting the database going — people and permissions, company details, reference books, accounts and tax, numbering, opening balances, and three checks that the start is right.
- Part 2: the first cycle — purchasing, receiving into stock, selling, money in the bank, and what the system does at each step.
- Part 3: closing the month — payroll, depreciation, closing the period, reporting and locking past dates.
Individual topics
- The desktop: windows, search and bookmarks — how the screen works: the module menu, system search, minimized windows, your own bookmarks.
- Printing a document — where the button is, where blanks come from, why there may be none.
- How to run a report — on screen, to HTML or Excel; the result window buttons and messages that are not errors.
- How to reopen a document for editing — removing "OK" and what it cancels.
- Duplicating a document — a new document after an existing one: what is copied and what is not.
- Pasting rows from Excel — a document table in one Ctrl+V.
- Document statuses and the icons in the list — coloured icons, the red exclamation mark, the "OK" mark.
- Why a record will not delete — what the guard is, how to read its message and what to do instead of deleting.
- Making the code fill itself in — automatic codes for contacts and items, number series.
- Raw materials: from a card to a finished product — material cards, prices, receipts, the technological map, production.
- Product sets — the set card, two selling routes, selling part of a set, receiving from a supplier.
- Access rights — roles, who sees what, and how to verify it.
- How to plan payments — will the money last the coming weeks: the payment calendar.
- Crontab mask — how to write the schedule of a maintenance or a «Cron Tasks» task.
- Service orders — taking equipment in, the technician's work, handing it back.
- Nova Poshta delivery — from the address on the card to the waybill.
- A cashier's day — working at the till: two sign-ins, the shift, the receipt, payment, cash, closing the day.
- Vchasno.Kasa — fiscalising receipts.
- eTIMS (Kenya) — fiscalising invoices, credit notes and till receipts in KRA.
- M-Pesa (Kenya) — Safaricom payments into the register and choosing a payment at the till.
- The offline client — a till that works without the internet.
When something does not add up
Before looking for a mistake in the documents, check the premises: the right period, the right warehouse, the document actually approved. Most "why is the report empty" questions are settled at that level — every report article has a "Typical situations" section about exactly this.
