Deficit in production
The same arithmetic as the deficit in production orders, taken from a different angle: not "is the plan covered" but "do we have the materials for the production documents already raised and not yet finished".
Where to find it: Modules → Production → Reports → Deficit in production
The distinction matters. An order is an intention; it can wait. A production document in "Created" or "Started" is something somebody means to book today — and if the material is missing, the booking fails.
A worked example

Parameters: production number, technological map, location, the «Consider all stock» box (ticked from the start) and the «Show vendor orders» box, and the view switch «Simplified» / «Normal» / «Detail» — as in the deficit in production orders.

The top line is 100033 "Steel shelving unit", 20.00 units, verdict red: "Deficiency of components: Present". The expanded block explains it:
| Item | Name | Required q-ty | Q-ty in all locations | Production deficit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100028 | Hex nut M8 | 400.00 | 350.00 | 50.00 |
| PACKBOX | Cardboard box | 20.00 | 19.00 | 1.00 |
| 100033 | Steel shelving unit | — | 5.00 | — |
| 100035 | Steel I-beam 920 mm | 200.00 | 30.00 | 170.00 |
| 100034 | Steel lintel beam 300 mm | 200.00 | 41.00 | 159.00 |
| 100027 | Coach bolt M8x40 | 400.00 | 178.00 | 222.00 |
The draft run of twenty units cannot be booked until the missing beams, bolts, nuts and boxes are received.
When the stock is short but vendor orders cover the gap (with «Show vendor orders» ticked), the verdict is «Unlikely».
What the report takes into account
- Only unfinished runs — the "Created" and "Started" states. A finished one has already consumed its materials, so there is nothing to check;
- free stock — warehouse reservations are deducted;
- the header quantity multiplied by the consumption on each row — minus what this run has already consumed (at the start or through operations);
- the queue: when several runs need the same item, the stock goes to them in turn — started runs first by actual start date, then the ones not started, and by number when the place is equal. Each takes from what the earlier ones left.
That is how the «Normal» and «Detail» views count. In the «Normal» view without «Consider all stock», a block gathers all runs of one technological card on one warehouse, and the quantity in its header is the total output of all those runs; each run's own output is in the «Detail» view. Before 01.11.2026 the block header showed the output of only one of the runs, although the block's component need covered all of them. The «Simplified» view currently takes only «Created» runs (started ones are left out), with no queue and no deduction of what has been consumed.
The finished product itself appears among the components — that is the map's output line; it never carries a deficit.
Typical situations
A run won't book: "that quantity isn't in stock". That is this same shortfall, only met at booking time. The report shows it in advance and across every document at once.
The material exists, but at another location. Tick «Consider all stock»: without that box, stock at the neighbouring warehouse does not count.
The gap is already on order. With «Show vendor orders» ticked, the vendor-order columns show what is in transit and count as cover — a deficit on paper then need not stop the shop.
